POWER Smart for Business Winners Announced

A look at the winners of the “Win Your Lighting Upgrade” contest.

Earlier this year, the Commercial Lighting Program randomly selected five companies to win up to $10,000 towards the cost of their energy efficient lighting upgrade. By switching to LEDs, these customers reduced their lighting bill by up to 60 per cent, each year.

• Homestead Manitoba’s Sterling House for Independent Seniors won $10,000 towards the LED screw-in lamps and retrofit kits upgraded from incandescent and halogen lamps.
• Marymound School won $10,000 towards an LED fixture and screw-in lamp upgrade from metal halides and incandescents.
• Canad Inns won $10,000 towards LED backlit signage for The Met.
• Perimeter Industries won $5,900 towards LED fixture upgrades from metal halides.
• GP Poultry won $900 to cover the cost of LED screw-in lamp upgrades

Electra Sign Winnipeg was pleased to work with South Beach Casino on their new state of the art pylon sign which features a brand new HD LED electronic message center. The Art Deco themed design utilizes the latest LED lighting to keep it shining brightly for years.

Located on the Brokenhead Ojibway Nation Reserve, South Beach Casino & Resort began operations on May 28, 2005, and is owned by Black River, Bloodvein, Brokenhead, Hollow Water, Little Grand Rapids, Pauingassi, and Poplar River First Nations.

Just 30 minutes north of Winnipeg on Highway 59, South Beach Casino & Resort prides itself on outstanding guest service and a fun and inviting atmosphere.

The 40,000+ square foot casino is entirely smoke-free and offers 600 slot machines, Blackjack tables, and other exciting table games to choose from.
